Who would have imagined that pieces of driftwood, chosen from a sea of hundreds of thousands, could, when carved, serve as catalysts to the awakening of a sense ability? This is a capacity we humans possess, yet we have lacked conscious awareness of it. Consequently, we neglect and underutilize this ability.
Personal exploration has shaped my awareness. Through sculpting pieces of wood I have come to recognize that I, too, I am being sculpted, being altered. Impressions form. Meaning takes shape. The sculpting journey brings with it remarkable experiences and remarkable transformations.
Fascinated by this powerful yet underutilized sense I have, through my own process become acutely aware of the intuitive creatively we seldom discuss. I am compelled to share these experiences, while recognizing that this topic has its prickly edges, requiring attention and sensitivity.
Humans possess an intuitively creative sense ability, a particularly powerful asset. Increased awareness and utilization is crucial to humanity’s thriving, evolution and possibly even survival.
This journey, a continual shaping and reshaping of awareness, involves the expressions of an unusual animal: the artist. This artist smooths and shapes pieces of wood. Through this process I have made observations, and arrived at realizations through the utilizing the power of intuitive creativity.
I am that artist.
